Health Science Studies

The health science studies major (designated as a pre-major) serves as pre-professional preparation for medical, dental, physical therapy, or other professional graduate programs. the program helps students identify and meet entrance criteria to allied health degree programs. it also emphasizes health, fitness, and wellness.

Our faculty helps graduates with introductions and recommendations to educational institutions and employers,our program develops practical knowledge and conceptual foundations for work,many graduates choose typical career paths associated with this major. however, some graduates choose unrelated careers that utilize skills and experiences developed during their years in college.

The program has a long, successful history with students moving on to medical, dental and physical therapy schools. many also move on to secondary general science educations. students are encouraged to volunteer at clinics, hospitals, etc. to gain experience in their field of interest.

Work while you study

First-year students can only work on campus, and only under certain conditions. In the second year, students can work in practical, curricular or elective jobs. Students may be allowed to consider other types of employment, depending on their circumstances.
