Industrial Design

The industrial design program at jmu equips students with the creative problem-solving skills necessary to become innovative design leaders. it empowers students to become positive social, environmental and economic forces in their communities and professions.

This course is available with a placement year option where you will study for 1 additional year.the placement year provides you with a fantastic opportunity to broaden your horizons and develop valuable skills and contacts through working with a self-sourced organisation relevant to your degree subject.

Work while you study

First-year students can only work on campus, and only under certain conditions. In the second year, students can work in practical, curricular or elective jobs. Students may be allowed to consider other types of employment, depending on their circumstances.
