ELP programs are offered by universities or pathway institutions to assist students in achieving the language proficiency required for academic studies. You can get admitted to your course with a lower language requirement if you do an ELP program.

You’ll have the chance to take a ‘sandwich’ year – a year of paid employment in industry, which will build your skills and experience. this is usually taken between the second and third year of your degree, typically making your course four years in total. a sandwich year can help with your studies and make it easier to get a job after graduation. it can also build your confidence, contacts, and of course your cv. we advertise lots of placement opportunities and provide support in helping you find the right placement for you.

Work while you study

You can also work on a UK student visa, from 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, 40 hours per week or full-time during vacations.
