Counselling and Mental Health

ELP programs are offered by universities or pathway institutions to assist students in achieving the language proficiency required for academic studies. You can get admitted to your course with a lower language requirement if you do an ELP program.

This course will give you a solid grounding for a career in the health and social care professions. you will gain the expertise to kickstart your career in a range of disciplines including mental health services, playwork, children, young people and family support, social work, coaching or employee welfare. this would include roles such as mental health and wellbeing advisor, employee wellbeing officer, mental health support worker, mental health advocate, adolescent or family support officer, youth support worker, refugee and asylum support officer, and residential and housing officer. you could also go on to train as a professionally qualified counsellor, social worker, youth and community development worker or occupational therapist with our range of postgraduate counselling, health and community courses.

Work while you study

You can also work on a UK student visa, from 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, 40 hours per week or full-time during vacations.
