Career
As a psychology graduate, there are a diverse range of career paths you could take. you might decide to pursue further training and qualifications, working towards a career in professional psychology, such as counselling psychology or clinical psychology. there is also the option to pursue a career in the counselling, psychotherapy or mental health fields for which you would again need further qualifications. if you decided not to follow a psychology-related career, you could still use your transferrable skills to work in other settings such as education or the corporate sector. graduating with a 2:2 honours classification or higher, and passing your dissertation project, you’ll be eligible for graduate basis for chartered membership (gbc) from the british psychological society (bps). this is the first step towards becoming a chartered psychologist.
Work while you study
You can also work on a UK student visa, from 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, 40 hours per week or full-time during vacations.
