Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence)

Our advanced, four-year msci with a dedicated artificial intelligence (ai) pathway is designed to give you the knowledge, skills and practical experience to pursue a high level career in computing and ai. it offers a thorough grounding in computing as well as an in-depth study of the latest trends and technologies in the rapidly evolving world of ai. you will explore an ai related topic of your choice and showcase your abilities in an extended final year project. you will also have the chance to take courses from our msc courses and to graduate with an integrated masters qualification. it is particularly recommended for students who want to go on to postgraduate study or a scientific or technical career. you will not only enhance your knowledge and understanding of the subject but also gain a competitive edge over graduates from standard three-year bsc courses.

You will spend this year on a work placement. you will be supported by the department of computer science and the royal holloway careers and employability service to find a suitable placement. this year forms an integral part of the degree programme and you will be asked to complete assessed work. the mark for this work will count towards your final degree classification.

Work while you study

You can also work on a UK student visa, from 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, 40 hours per week or full-time during vacations.
