Learn moreIf you're interested in the public sector, this is definitely a degree for you to consider. we have numerous graduates who've gone on to serve in government—one was a major party candidate in alabama's 2018 governor race. complete the program, and you could be next. as you begin your education, it's best to have an idea of your career goals. our 39-hour curriculum includes a choice between two concentrations: nonprofit management and public management and planning. with nonprofit management, we'll teach you about fundraising and development, grant management, and program evaluation. if you choose public management and planning, you'll learn about preparing and managing budgets, economic development, and community development at the federal, state, and local level. no matter which concentration you pick, however, you'll need to choose between a thesis or a non-thesis track. best of all, we've designed the entire program to fit your professional schedule. many classes are offered in the evening, while others are a mix of online and face-to-face instruction.
