International Event Management

Our international event management degree will equip you with the knowledge, practical skills and experience needed to professionally manage events in a variety of areas. you’ll benefit from industry guest speakers from companies and organisations that stage events, such as harley davidson and the brighton centre. plus field trips to a wide range of event spaces, such as warner bros. harry potter studio tour, wimbledon, london’s olympic park, tulleys shocktober fest, christmas festivals, brighton dome and excel london. you'll gain practical experience to plan and execute your own event, and the optional placement year is an excellent opportunity to build contacts and gain an advantage in the job market.

The option of a year's paid work placement in the events sector is highly valued by employers and a vital part of the course, allowing you to work either domestically or abroad for 48 weeks between your second and final years. it gives you the chance to apply your learning to real-life situations and challenges, to meet and network with potential employers, and gain real work experience in this dynamic and complex sector before you graduate.

Work while you study

You can also work on a UK student visa, from 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, 40 hours per week or full-time during vacations.
