ELP programs are offered by universities or pathway institutions to assist students in achieving the language proficiency required for academic studies. You can get admitted to your course with a lower language requirement if you do an ELP program.

Philosophy and film studies are adaptable subjects which open up a flexible range of career options. a wide-ranging knowledge of the arts, film, philosophical thinking, and culture produces well-rounded individuals with a broad frame of reference. a philosophy and film degree provides you with skills which are an advantage in any professional career. you will be able to identify and explain the underlying issues in all kinds of debates. you will also learn to identify arguments from varied sources and traditions and offer clear responses to these arguments. you can summarise points of view which are not your own and will learn the self-discipline required for independent research. our graduates have gone on to postgraduate study and worked in a wide variety of careers including: teaching publishing the media the civil service the creative industries social work the music industry

Work while you study

You can also work on a UK student visa, from 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year, 40 hours per week or full-time during vacations.
