A master's by research (ma) allows you to undertake a one-year full time research degree. you will have one-to-one supervision by a specialist in your field and join regular graduate history seminars designed to enhance your research skills. such programmes are attractive to those studying for personal interest, professional development or as preparation for a phd. the ma by research in public history, oral history and community heritage allows you to undertake independent research in applied and practical historical study. it will develop your applied and theoretical skills for practice and employment as a historian, heritage worker or community heritage activist.
